Will my new windows and doors in the kitchen be an issue?
Project type
Windows and external doors installed as part of the works in your kitchen should help reduce the amount of heat lost from your home and will therefore need to comply with Part L in England and Wales (Conservation of Fuel and Power) of the building regulations in all cases.
The work will also need to comply with Part A in England and Wales (Structure) if the opening is made wider, will need safety glazing if the glass is at low level or in or near a door, and possibly Part B in England and Wales (Fire Safety) if the glass is within 1m of the boundary.
